Certainly more oriented to the shop, instead of the field, but if you are interested in seeing some good photo sequences of tool trials and performance review, go to www.woodshopdemos.com.
Nice objective reviews of a lot of the Festool line, though no Domino yet. I’ll bet he’s got it coming.
I’m sure all the guys here at BT that check it out, will appreciate how he demonstrates most of the work using not models, but real live women who know how to use the tools.
I vote that no more BT photo galleries, the likes of “Small Addition,” “Kerdi Shower,” “Attic,” “QuarterDeck,” etc., take place, until the Breaktimer wishing to post the photo thread, sign up some folks as nice looking as over at WoodShopDemos.

Theres a whole big thing in there about the Domino..
You know, not to generalize, but the 29% of people who still support President Bush are the ones who love to pronounce themselves more patriotic than the rest of us. But just saying you're patriotic is like saying you have a big one. If you have to say it, chances are it's not true.

I guess I'll go pay bills for a couple of hours while the page loads.

Satellite connection? Aren't you making the big bucks?
Sat isn't that dependable even for TV way up here.It does look like a nice site. I thought it was gonna have a bunch of woodworker's porn but it had as much of girls as it did of tools instead!;)

John is an enterprising guy.
From what I understand, he was a plain old retired guy, working in his small shop. But he decided to use his background in video production, and started building this site -- how-to projects, machine tests, and the like.
One thing led to another, and now his site is sponsored by a number of tool manufacturers (Festool, CMT, JessEm, et al) and he is now taking in ads.
I doubt if he is making a killing, but he has certainly been clever in finding a way to make money from his hobby -- and accumulate a lot of free tools in the process.
But I must say too, everything is well done -- the machine reviews, the how-to pieces, etc.

John has negative 10 to the 10th credibility with me. We buted heads in a very big way on another forum when I had the audacity to suggest that EZSmart was a credible alternative to Festool. His responses were so rabid and viciously over the top that I'd listen to Bob Vila and buy Craftsman before I'd waste a second hearing what he has to say. Betcha anything he gets his Festools for zilch or at a steeply discounted price.PaulB
