So I’m wondering where you folks in E. Mass get your tools. Apparently not at HD or Lowe’s-it seems that pros consider doing business with them against their religion or something. I’m kinda new in the area and I’m looking for a place like Kingston Tool in RI (for those who know the place, anyway).
Thanks.

Marathon Tool in Medway, MA......they've got a very basic website with phone # and directions, but the store itself is top-notch. Also used to use WWW, but that won't help you now. Marathon is an outstanding tool store, but it's about a forty minute drive for me, so a trip there is usually a planned event that happens four or five times a year.
Thank God for the internet cuz there's not a whole lot of choices around. In a pinch I'll use my lumberyard......but their mark-up is preposterous.
I went to the Star Sales store in Woburn on occasion when I worked with a company that had an account with them, great customer service. Also, Robi Tool is good and handles alot of repairs. Another place is the Elwood Adams or something like that tool store in Worcester(not really eastern but central MA) they are a very old hardware store that has a knowledgeable staff. There is a DeWalt service center/store off of Western Ave. in Boston that has good deals sometimes. I'm in minimalist mode currently and just restoring old tools from flea markets or making do with what I have so I'm not the best info source.

There's a tool store in Somerville called Robi Tool, on Broadway. Not the cheapest place around and not a Tool-crib type selection, but they carry many professional-grade tools and also service what they sell. Kind of an old-fashioned place.
There is tool hause in Needham next to chanel 5 along side 128. The intermet is your best deal. Toolnut.com has beatin any price I have found.
Toolhaus. They're the sister store to the one in Somerville (Robi).
There's also a Dewalt service center in Watertown, near the Cambridge border on Memorial Drive. If you like yellow tools, that is.
that's the same store as raybrowne posted above, it's actually in Boston (Allston). Closed sat/sun.
I just found Toolhauz the other day-I was looking for the Veto Pro Pac and the website listed them as a retailer. It's exactly what I was looking for. Plus they sell the Veto for $20 less than on the website.
Marathon is 5 miles from my house (I live in Franklin). However I work in Norwood so I haven't been able to get there yet. Toolhauz is close by so that won.
