Greenhouse kits?? Anybody done this?
Greetings all– My company will have the opportunity to bid one of these “kit-assembled” greenhouses for a commercial space here in East Tennessee. I’ll have plans to deal with electrical subs and demolition, etc, but will be largely expected to quote a square foot price for the assembly of the greenhouse. Dimensions are approximately 200′ x 24′. Has anyone encountered these things in the past? Any hints on assembly, previously-encountered headaches, etc would be appreciated. I know my guys and i can figure the thing out once it’s on site, but it would be our first such project, and I wouldn’t want to lose days instead of hours to scratching our heads over instruction manuals, etc… Many thanks, Jed

Have you contacted the kit manufacturer? They might not give you the realistic time because they won't be figuring in the learning curve time but at least it's somewhere to start. Also, they might have an assembly crew for x amount extra.
I did the foundation for a "L" shaped green house a while back. Foundation was really simple, 24" round piers every 8' +/-. We worked with the general, we poured them, he set the 4" square tube in the pier. It seems to me it goes up like a pole building in a sense. These guys didn't seem to be real worried about getting the poles right on, seems like there is alot of wiggle room.
Thanks, y'all. Good thoughts
