I’m replacing about a hundred square feet of 2″ by 1/2″ Oak in my fixer upper that has had some water damage. I have the flooring, but what I need to know is if I need to adjust the plate on the bottom of a bostich flooring stapler to accomodate half inch flooring instead of three quarter inch flooring?
Also, for anyone who has installed 1/2″ before, is there anything else that I should know about that differs from the 3/4″ stuff?
Thanks in advance,
Casey

There is an adapter plate that comes with the stapler to do that, never used it? I did a repair where I put 25 square feet in. I think I just used a finish nailer and angled it. There also is a stapler for thinner flooring. The standard Bostish staple may be a bit large.
