The term “hand mitered gutter” is when a corner of a gutter has just the one seam at the corner showing, with no additional corner piece visible on the outside of the gutter. How is this done so I can do it myself?
Thanks, Anthony

What gutter material are you referring to?
Aluminum K-profile gutters are most common around here. Corners can be made by using a box miter that accepts square-cut pieces or by using strip miters that require two 45 deg. cuts on the abutting pieces. The box miters are easier, but the strip miters look a little more elegant. In both cases, a pre-manufactued piece - along with rivets and sealer - is used to finish the joint.

I've got templates that I made years ago that I lay on the face of the ogee to mark the gutter with. Buy a box miter and cut the back and bottom off of a short piece of ogee gutter (what ever size you're going to be working with). Lay the piece on the front of the box miter and scribe from the back. Cut to your scribe line and repeat for the opposite side. Now you've got a left and right template. Miter away.
Thanks for the advice, but how do I join the 2 pieces without a 3rd piece or premade corner showing on the outside of the corner? I've seen this on some homes but do not know how the corner is joined.
Thanks, Anthony
Snip a bunch of cuts in about 1/2" on one piece so you can bend it 90 degrees so it fits inside the other piece. Solder or pop rivet and caulk.
they make a piece that fits inside your gutter, rivet it in some good gutter seal and your done
Thanks Bud. I called around and checked online but I cannot find any pieces that fit inside a gutter. All of the strip miters I found fit on the outside. Do you have a source that I could get them from?
Thanks, Anthony
