Handy Advantech Tip – maybe y’all knew
I like Advantech, but the T&G edges can be fragile ’til installed. Like to clean / smooth straighten out the groove each time – working by myself, easy fit is important. Used to use a flat bar, but not always in my pouch, and too thin.
Today, I realized my Johnson aluminum speed square was EXACTLY the right size to drag down the slot and make sure it’s wide enough and clear, and easy to hold, to boot.
Works for me

Good call, Forrest. Thanks for the good tip.

Does that mean that your not stoped work on the project? I've been eyeballing the thread and was looking for a update on the battle in the court house.
P&Z meeting was put off until next week to include a big re-zoning request and public comment. I'll be there, too.
Forrest - still working
LOL! I had exactly the same thought, but couldn't figure out how to word it cutely.

I had wondered what those speed squares were good for. Now I know.

Also good for stuffing loose fiberglass insulation into tight areas....i.e. between windows and framing.

Prolly works better.....but that is typically in my trim belt. Ifn I'm insulating, I'm likely wearing my framing belt.
