How many planks are in a pallet of HardiPlank? Local supplier told me they could discount if pallets are ordered, but the person on the phone was unsure of how many planks were in a pallet…??/
I’m looking at using the 8 1/4″ boards.

I assume you're talking about preprimed, not prepainted Hardie, since the prepainted (colorplus) is done order by order. Best place to ask would be Hardie. I ordered about 25 squares of Hardieplank (7-1/4") last year and I believe it was a total of about 420 boards or so (6" exposure, so 6 square feet per board). But mine was colorplus so that may make a difference. At any rate, I believe it came on three pallets, which were arranged three boards across on 2 pallets and 4 boards across on 1 shorter pallet--if memory is correct. That would make about 140-150 boards per pallet, for 7-1/4" boards. But if they load by weight, Hardieplank is 2.3 lbs/sq foot, so about 16.67 pounds per board, or 2334 to 2500 pounds per pallet. In the case of 8-1/4" boards that would be about 19 lbs per board, or 123 to 131 boards per pallet. But that's a lot of "ifs" there. Ask Hardie.
That helps
Great, the weight helps me out as well. Thanks.
