I have never found a better source for hardware for doors than Woodward’s Ace Hardware of Santa Ana, CA. My contact there, Ron Horn, always gets it right, at very competitive pricing, and quickly.
My local sources are limited to lumberyards, and they are clueless when it comes to the complexities of door hardware.
Have any of you dealt with Woodward’s Ace of Santa Ana?

Well, living here in Pennsylvania, I can't say as I have. However after perusing your rave reviews I am strongly considering the possibilities of giving them a whirl. Tis a rare thing indeed to find the old fashioned service and knowlege once thriving in our industry and I have been known to travel the extra mile(s) to find such. Travel expenses and big box stores be damed! Pull out the cot and leave a light on.
These guys ship everywhere, for the one low shipping cost of six bucks, no matter the size of the order.
Try them out for special heavy duty bifold hardware, everything in the Schlage commercial lines, all Emtek, Baldwin, Ives stuff, and more.
Tell 'em you have paired doors, and they'll right away say "full dummys required." Right hand reverse handed? Understood.
Pocket door hardware in oilrubbed bronze? Got it.
And what I like about doing biz in a location three timezones away, is that I can call them toll free up til 8 pm my time and discuss all my needs.

Well dam son! I thank you mightily for that. I will store that in my files. I don't care what they say about you west coast boys...it's only half true.
Jer, I am in the great state of New York, way up in the high peaks of the Adirondack mountains. A blue state like CA, but far from the west coast.
How many peaks you climb? Giant mtn is a real trip , especially if it's 1975 and you got your best pal with you and you're 21 years old.
