welcome, pickey.
Have you ever installed hardwood flooring before?
Red rosin paper is generally used under the flooring instead of 15# felt, and no, you should not glue the T&G. T&G is designed to allow the floor to move with seasonal changes in temp and humidity; glue will interfere with that, even if it holds, which is unlikely.
yes I have, more than I care to remember or at least my back any way but that was over 15 years ago , so with new techniques and materials being used I just needed to be updated we would always use rosin paper and liquid nail but looking back i questioned the use of glue. As for the 15lb felt paper the contracter that i am using to sand and seal recomended felt over rosin as a type of moisture barrier, what do you think?
Are you talking about glueing the boards together, or glueing the boards to the paper? Doesn't matter, I would not do either.
The felt paper will act as a moisture retarder, not a moisture barrier. It will slow the passage of moisture. if you wanted a moisture barrier, you would have to seal the lap joints in the paper, and seal all the nail holes.

thanks for the help guys, its always great having another set of eyes on a project, as long as its not my wifes eyes. her name is pickier!
sorry for this add on question............
What type of paper, if any, would you guys recommend under wood floors, over radiant heat stapled below subfloor in a crawl space that is dampish and needs at least summer dehumidifier?
BTW, I'm a long time lurker and have enjoyed the questions and responses.
Thanks
Not Tarpaper. Could get soft and fume off with the radiant.
You have visqueen down and seams taped over the dirt/stone in that crawl?A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

Thanks,
I was planning on kraft paper, but previous posts got me thinking? What's Visqeen? I do have 6 mil plastic down, taped up pretty well.
plastic/visqueen, same thing.A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

15# felt when there is an unconditioned space below.
Rosin paper when there is a conditioned space below.
No adhesive with T&G.
