This is naturally our slow time of year. So I was going to use the time to install prefinished hardwood (380 sq. ft.) In my parents house.
I got to thinking, at work we have never really installed hardwood in the winter. My parents house is all electric and fairly dry. Is this going to be a problem? Are there any extra precautions I should take?
How long should I acclimate the wood? Or should I wait until the house gets a little less dry?
Thanks.

Some will tell you to go out and get a 300.00 moisture meter. I let wood acclimate a min of 72 hours or according to manufactures instructions which ever is greater. I have never had a problem but my climate is fairy dry.
some manufactures say to open all the boxes some say to leave it wrapped if you follow what they say to do you should have no problem.
