I need help with a hardwood floor. The wood is 1 x 12 x 16 ft Cumaru. Checking on the internet indicates that the wood is quite oily which inhibits adhesives. Had planned to nail and glue to prevent any cupping or bulging. Have had the wood for 2 years so it is acclimated to the arrid climate. Screwing and plugging are not an acceptable alternative. Any suggestions?

Use a polyurethane adhesive -- Bostik's make a good one. You'll need a different technique for the finishing, too. Try the Floormaster's board -- I seem to remember a thread on finishing Cumaru not so long back.
