I am trying to recycle maple t&g flooring. Does anyone out there have an “easy” way to remove years of urathane or whatever they use on gym floors? It’s 20 year old maple from a school gym. The finnish has dripped down onto the tongue and grooves. I am only interested in removing the drips on the edges. I have 600 sq. ft. to do.
Is a router my best bet? Or do I have to use toxic chemicals?

If you can set up the router to take a very light pass, that would be the quickest ... until you hit a hidden nail and ruin the router bit.

Thanks for responding Ed. I did use a router and scraper and it was a nightmare! The custumer thought she was getting a cheap deal on the used flooring. The flooring was bowed and different thicknesses, but she saved a few trees! Busta
Good sharp scraper and keep the file handy
