Has anyone dealt with ceiling heat?
I am gutting a large locally famous house and every ceiling in the house has electrical radiant heat.On the the thermostats it reads CEILING HEAT so i was figuring that was the products name.
It is between 2 layers of sheetrock and has sensors set near the ceiling. It is amazing how much it warms the rooms up and the homeowner definately wants to keep it but I have not tested every ceiling to see if they all work. The house was built in 1974.
So if anybody knows about this product please reply?

I know it's expensive to operate and even more expensive if you do something stupid like put a ceiling light in or rescrew a loose cracked area.
The Einstien that thought up that heating system should be shot and if he's already dead he should be dug up and shot.
Now why be so critical? It makes really nice dust patterns on the ceiling sheetrock and besides, since heat rises, one can be assured of a nice toast attic.
Andy,
Can't help you at all except to agree that it exists. Became popular about the time of your home's building...1974. Don't know why. Oil embargo?
Have a friend who has a house; original owner; Durango Co; most would have chosen gas over ele in that place; house designed with it; works great; maybe he gets pleasure watching the ele meter spin.
