It is no good. Even with reading anything I can tell that because of the stupid sound effects as you move the mouse.

    I hate that.

Did you check with local providers and see what discounts that they actually offer.

About 6-12 months ago there was a bunch of stores about these types of plans. The state AG's was after them.

I don't remember the details, but I think that the problem was that people where buying them thing that it was insurance. But you already know that it is not.

But you might try googling some information on that plan and medical discount plans in general.

Uugghh... I wish you'd not said that. Unrefundable 135.00 fee.

      I can't see a roofer getting a good policy.

It's saturday, my hip is blown out..painful..and I gotta get to a hosp ASAP. So I bit the bullet on getting the coverage to be in effect ASAP. I get help as of Sept.1.......

Dire straights, cause and effect, I don't care..I'm hurtin.

Ah, the wonderful world of insurance for the self-employed...

Stay away from something that sounds like a real insurance plan from NASE, National Assoc. for the Self-Employed, or some such.  Did not work as advertised.  Somehow a lot of large fees cropped up.  We paid in for several years.

If it ain't expensive, it probably is worthless- or close to it.  We finally opted for the Blues, called Trigon here.  What amounts to only major medical runs $6700/yr for the 2 of us.  Guaranteed increase next year.  And it was a major fight to get in.

          Dying's cheaper.

I guess the hip wil wait till Monday. Got a call into the chiro's office.

Yeah, the insurance rip offs are rampant..gonna go with a REAL company I guess.

Geeze did ya see we made the WeatherChannel? They even metioned Estill county which is a 100 yrds or so away from where I sit..LOL

I am suprised I still have phone and ele. after what just passd..looks like another wave headed at us. Be back later.

Look into employeee leasing. I know a guy who has a one man business who has leased himself for over 25 years now. The only reason he does it is so he can get health insurance at a rate he can afford. He told me it was cheaper than being on his wife's policy.

            >Stay away from something that sounds like a real insurance plan from NASE, National Assoc. for the Self-Employed, or some such.No kidding. Checked that out a few years ago. They sent a "rate sheet". The "agent" hand scribbled a bunch of rates in the margin of the brochure, and that counted as a quote! I was sooooo impressed!

"It's saturday, my hip is blown out..painful..and I gotta get to a hosp ASAP."

It sounds like you are trying to defraud an insurance company.

I currently have health insurance, but for most of my life I simply paid my health bills out of my pocket.

    A. Quit smoking
    B. Yes, you f.u.

But if you are paying cash for direct health care, try and negotiate for a common reduced rate, say the rate payed to BC/BS. Cash customers pay the highest rates.
