I`ve got some gas logs that are coming apart.They look like they`re stuck together with some kind of sealant that looks like white lightnin.what would stick em together and withstand the heat?

Gas logs: you mean the ceramic fake logs inside a gas-fired fireplace insert? If so, muffler cement/stovepipe cement (sodium silicate putty) will do the trick. It'll stand very high temperatures, is easy to use and cleans up with water.
