Heating a space by circulating water
I have been thinking about circulating water from a domestic water heater through a blower-coil unit using a thermostat controled pump to heat a one bedroom unit.
Is there any reason this could not be done?
Its a large 220 volt water heater and the space does not require a lot of heat.
Do they make a unit like this ?
Any suggestions

I have 2 rooms in the back of my house that never received any heat from the central (wall) heater. I added a new bathroom back there and used a Takagi tankless water heater. I put some baseboard heaters in the 2 bedrooms and the new bathroom. (4 foot long in the smaller bedroom and bathroom and 6 foot long in the larger bedroom) These are fed hot (180 degree) water from the Takagi using a 1/8 HP circulating pump and a thermostat. The 180 degree water goes through a blending valve to add some cold for the tub, shower and sink. Works fine. Of course, I am in southern California, near the beach, so your mileage may vary. But with sizing of baseboard lengths you should be avle to arrange for your situation. The baseboards don't make any sound or stir up dust. They do take a while to warm the area, though.
Can you tell me the model No. for the circulating pump you used,?
It's a Taco pump. I got it (and the controller) on eBay. I can't remember the number. There is a past discussion where I told someone about it though, if you know how to search for that.
