I like the yellow jacket cords, from woods industries. They carry them at local places and Lowe's. I had one from HD and it S**KED. It was fine in warm weather but once it was 30 degrees or colder, it was very stiff and a huge pain. The yellow jacket was butter all the way down to below zero. I think its rated to be flexible to -40. A 12-3 50 fter was about $27

If you have a Costco nearby...They have blue 12/3 75 foot cords that come with a 3 way splitter. They are very flexible and much more heavy duty. Only $18.00 each...I bought two and love em...Thinking of getting one more....
I have used the Yellow Jackets for years and have no complaints. They even have a lifetime gurantee.
I like my "Polar Solar"
got my last batch thru Amazon/Tool Crib.
over a year ago ... I stocked up myself right before XMas ...
brought the new haul to the site right after the holiday ...
my electrician walked in and got all excited ...
Hey, are those Polar Solar! My FIL just replaced all my old cords with Polar Solar ....
I've always liked them ... but if an extension cord gets an electrician excited ...
Good enough for me!

Yellow jacket. Lifetime warranty. I get them at Lowes here...HD stopped stocking them.
I've gotten the yellow jackets replaced at least ten times. The old ones used to burn up on the inside. Sometimes the end separates. They won't replace it if the ground breaks off though.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
Warning! Be cautious when taking any framing advice from me. There are some in here who think I'm a hackmeister...they might be right! Of course, they might be wrong too!
Another vote for Yellow Jackets. I'm sure there's a lot of places online to get them - they're a Woods product. I have 2-25' 14 ga and a 100' 12 ga and they are the best cords bar none. Using them last week in subzero temps and no problem with flexibility. In the heat of summer it's like using a thin cotton rope.
IMERC likes to haul around a 400ft #6 extension cord.
Maybe he'll have a few thoughts on the matter.
