Hi all – I just recently put down some Bostik SL 150 self leveling cement. This went over a Radiant heat mat, which was stabled to a plywood (2 layer) subfloor. Unfortunately, the finished concrete has a bunch of bumps in it, and, it is also not level probably up to 1/4 inch. I think it probably was not mixed quite well enough, and, it was setting up much faster than i expected and before i could get the whole floor covered/troweled. I plann on tiling the floor, and using a Ditra mat. I have some room to increase the height of the floor.
Anyway, I would really appreciate any suggestions. I am thinking that a better application of self leveling compound would work…i would just want to find a product that flows really easily, or, i could add more water to the sl 150.
Thanks very much !

Self leveling is very wet when you mix it! Much wetter than you would believe it could set, But it does in about ten mins!
Check to make sure you used the right amount of water, I always use a jug to to check the amount.
The heated mat will also stop the flow unless its deep enought to cover all the wires by 3/8" or so. I use a five gallon bucket to a 25 lb bag and there is just enought room to mix, but carefully.
Flatten it out with a diamond cup on your angle grinder.
