I am interested in installing a herringbone wood floor. I recently reviewed a “Bob Vila” video where it was stated that wood flooring manufaturers offer ‘kits’ to make installation easier. How do I contact the manufacturer for this kit? Who do I contact?

Welcome to BT.
You might not want to spread that Bob guys name around here to much! <G>
If you seen Bob Vila doing it on one of his shows you might try his web site. http://www.bobvila.com
I did a search using Herringbone,
Didn't find anything specific about herringbone but you might want to e-mail someone at the site, hopefully you wont get Bob himself, he probably wouldn't know!

Thanks. Didn't know that he was persona non-gratus. Their site is not very helpful that is why I am here. I will keep trying.

Not so much that he's non-grata, so much as, as a developer/remodeler/home improvment maven he's really pasterer's son . . .
The site and "non helpful" not makeing any better an impression, either, come to cases.
Hmm, now, as to your situation, maybe a few more details are in order. There's herringbone and there's herringbone.
I've seen (ages ago) "parquetry" kits which were just tiles ready made up already on the diagonal. I have to say I was underwhelmed--just looked like tiles of mock-wood to me, in the box or installed.
Now, if you mean using uniform floor planks in a stick-built herringbone--that can work nicely. But you often need a really big room that is not going to get covered in carpets or rugs.
More info helps "us" help you.Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
