I can vouch for this thing too. The gravity feature is really sweet. But I should add that the design of the stand could use some tweaking. For instance, if you are pulling it up some stairs, the metal above the wheels hits the steps before the wheels do. Scratches the hell out of the stand (who cares) but also dings up the treads of stairs something awful.Justin Fink

Thanks, that's the kind of feedback I need.

change out those tires for larger semi-pnumatics and add extensions to the feet...
several advantages...
semis won't go flat and you get a more stable base.. ecspecially in this hyper cold...
the hieght of the saw is raised about 4" and that puts it at a more comfortable work elevation for tall guys like us...
put the Bosch tires on say yur compressor or even yur lunch box...
about 18$ to retrofit... or carry the saw like I do... easier...

...I know you're a big guy, but this thing is no joke when it comes to carrying it. It's hard enough to get in and out of the truck never mind up a flight of stairs!Justin Fink

I just don't have a problem with carrying it...

I don't have a problem carrying it either! Heck, at work, I carry and load the big stuff all dang day long!
Those Bosch 4000-09 are so hot right now, we are having a hard time keeping them in stock. Also, I found out that you can purchase the saw from my store(me), and pick it up at a store near you, if they have it in stock.
I had two guys wanting one last week, after I sold the one we had. I do think Bosch is having a hard time keeping up with the demand...Our warehouse doesn't have any in stock. Found out there was just one left in the West Sacramento store...my DM will bring it up on Wednesday.
Let me know if you still want one...(530)898-1904, I'll order and keep one for you if you can get me a check or a card. I can have it transfered the slow way to the store of your choice fer cheap ($5), or UPS for more but faster.
maybe I should change my screen name to toolsellin'fool! <g>
email on the way...

If you get the 4412 too, I could probably knock some off, but not much. Actually, our margin on power tools is rediculously low...tight competition, I guess.
You in Utah now? We have a store in Salt Lake.
Can you loate a cordless right angle grinder? I know DW makes one, just want to see if anyone else does.I do need one, badly.

I checked most of my catalogs...no luck yet.
Can I ask why you think you want a cordless grinder?
Most of the roofs I have been on are 40' and plus up. We cut in the counterflashings on the chimneys and wall junctions.Often on these older houses there is no outdoor recpt., and having to drag out a LOT of cord and climbing is just that much more time to do a quick and easy kerfing in.I used the DW cutting off a cast iron vent stack so I could replace it with PVC so our lead boot would fit..the DW seemed OK for that..maybe I'll look into the 5 pc. set of 18volt stuff.I was hoping some other co's were making them, I guess not.

You are running an air hose, ain't ya?6 16 97 99
Yes and no..counters are sometimes run days or weeks after the nailing is done..and if it's a copper roof, the compresser stays in the truck..that is cleated with a few copper nails and crimped.

that one is the one I keep getting.. it came with the left side extension fer out 500$...
day off ... why not use yur day off fer you and not worry about this... can you do this on work time...

I need the 4412 as a replacement along the 4000... both that went missing along with the 11241EVS...
So.... I'm also considering at least a 11241EVS.. prefer the 11245EVS...
but no extensions included huh... grrrrrrrr...
Done with Utah day or two ago... I'm on the west slope today... either it's back to the Springs in a bit or head up to Wyoming tonight...
we had a Chinook come thru late yesterday and moving around is a bit difficult...
wait...
I could send Oreo to SLC and finish up here... kill two birds with one stone... SLC isn't that far from here...

The IMERC version.
Shoot, just the stand alone is $150 clams or more. Too rich for this po boy. For $150 I need a tool, not a tool transporter. :)
