Hey Mike Smith,…St. Angelos Hardwood?
Hey Mike Smith (or anyone else for that matter) have you ever gotten hardwood from St. Angelos Hardwood? Just asking since they are located out your way in the ocean state.

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

take a ride up and we'll go to the "Lobster Pot" for lunch.. my wife's girlfriend is the maitre-d ( sic ? )
So what are you saying St Angelo's is worth the trip or the Lobster Pot is worth the trip?Yeah I should head out that way regardless. I got to go to New London sometime in the next few weeks to look at a stair and railing job so I'll have to work something out.

Jerrald,
I've bought quite a bit of lumber through them.
Never used their shipping, though, I've always trucked it myself.
If you're working in New London CT, one place I use there is General Woodcraft. Lumber prices are higher than St. Angelo, as they don't offer a bulk discount like St. Angelo, but certainly get the contractor price. Ask for Colin. GW is off Exit 82 on I-95. Head south on Broad St (Exit 82), it's a couple miles down on the left.
Genral Woodcraft isn't so much a lumberyard, they instead sell nice sticks of wood. Very nice species, most up to 16/4 thickness. They also have hardware, sheetgoods, a nice cabinet shop.
For incidentals, there's a Home Depot a half-mile north of I-95, also off exit 82.
Then of course, you have to hit the Waterford Family Bowl for duckpin bowling. Waterford abutts New London.
If you really want to tease Mike, there's an Outback Steakhouse on the north side of I-95, right near Exit 83-84.
