Can you or have you ever resawn and bent TREX? I mean like a bent lamination..take 5/4 and resaw to two pcs. bend it around a form and glue it…I need a 3′ radius for a trellis..and just wondering.
I might just get a hunk and have at it, PL glue and a curved form..any thoughts? Heat?

I'm thinking PL would be the wrong choice of glues ...
seems too ... springy ... to me?

some more ideas here ... scroll down ... they talk about bending and heating.
I went there looking to see if they recommended any particular glue.
U want my Trex Rep's number?
Jeff
Thanks Jeff..for the link..and the glue issue.
seems to me..(#### clown I am) that PL sets pretty ridgid..I could be wrong.. need to make a 3.5 x 3.5 trellis arches..out to out 68", true half circle.
I just don't have the Cypress in length, wont use PT, and can't find cedar that is clear enuf..( oh, I also UNDER bid the bastid).
Azec is not an option lessen ya can paint it..not sure if Trex takes paint either, never used it.
I figger I need 10' for the curved part, and a bunch of 1.5" for lattice..too..

Mike Smith uses Trex for his sills.
You might search for some of his photo postings. I know they paint it but I'm not sure how smooth the finished product is.

Azek can be painted. Our painters used some Sherwin-Williams paint, dang, I can't remember the name of it Dura-somethingorother? (they filled the holes with bondo.)
Azek is easy to bend too, but don't forget to bring your pot holders!
Now how the heck are roach clips going to help him bend azek ?
