Well that sucks. Same thing happened to the oldest building on UK's campus about 10 years ago. They ignited a squirrel nest inside metal cornice soldering the gutter with a torch. When will they ever learn?

I wonder what important records might have been lost? Hopefully, now adays, everything is backed up off site.
OTOH, I was in a local store right after it happened and joked that someone must have not liked the outcome of their trial. No one laughed... :-(
BTW - that is where John Edwards was being tried - he had a court date only a few weeks earlier.
