Hey you touch screen guys

danno7x | Posted in Tools for Home Building on September 23, 2009 01:31am

The phone company forced me to get a new phone.  They gave me a bunch of discounts and I ended up getting a samsung rouge for free.  Its way out of my league right now, but I was wondering how the screens hold up to our lifestyles and what you would do to protect them

I use Zagg's InvisibleShield. You can find 20-50 % off coupons on line if you search. On the Samsung Eternity forum they always have a 20% off coupon (number.

    I paid $12...regularly $25

I think thats what they had at the store and at first glance it didnt look like it would last, I guess I was thinking that it was like the piece of plastic that you have on it when you get it new.  It came in a package of three I was figuring they wouldnt last and sold for 25 bucks.

I looked a zaggs and I guess they dont make them specifially for the rogue, appreantly its new new.  I can barely use the dam thing.

dan...if Zagg doesn't make it then no one probably does ...yet. If you read Zagg's site about the IS then you saw it's made from the same stuff they coat airplane wings ...I think it's the wings. The stuff is amazingly durable and I love the feel it gives. Kinda cushiony. Give em' a call and see what they say. Lifetime warranty too.If you don't put it on perfectly you'll get an orange peel effect. Lot of people have issues putting it on from a Google search I did b/4 I bought it. I had no problem but it did take me about 20 minutes or better. Lots of Youtube vids on it.View Image

Hey thanks I didn't look it over that good as I needed to get off to work, just got back and looked at the product and am thourghly impressed that looks perfect.  I'm rough on stuff like that and this phones like china in the bull shop to me.

I'm hoping best buy has it so I don't have to wait for order to get here, thanks again now if I only could figure out how to answer a call without hanging it up or doing a multitude of other functions it'll be cool.  Off to best buy..............

Just wanted to say thanks for the recomendation.  Local store didnt have it for that model yet so I ordered it from zaggs.  Wasnt too hard to put on, I was liberal with that spray I had more than a few beers before that too.   Working out good thanks for the heads up, I definatly need something on the screen.  I found a 20% coupon online too.

you're welcome.I 'just' had an issue w/my IS. One of the edges I put on was starting to lift after about 4 months so I called them. They just sent me a free replacement (no questions asked) of the entire kit. Just had to send the old one back in an envelope and pay the $4 postage for the new one to be shipped.
            Not bad!

Wow! A company that actually means guaranteed for life, that's even more amazing.  Don't they realize they could get out of that with some loophole they could blame you for?

I've got the Samsung Omnia. No problems so far, and it's with me always except for sleeping. I got a tough Iphone-type case for it.

    Scott.
