Hiding Galv. Porch Post metal with what?

I’ve got four 6×6″ porch posts mounted to a concrete floor with Simpson Galv. mounts.
What have you found that works best for white paint and outside moisture that wraps around the posts and hides those metal mounts?
Thanks,
Bill

azek or koma work well for this application. Be sure to leave room for expansion and contraction.
Hi Bill
We do this all the time in the VI with hurricane brackets...
Just router a 1x8 (or 10) at the top and wrap the post with it. You have to either dado in the bracket to the post or hog out the back of the 1x 10. It is not hard with a router and straight bit. If the bolts protrude cut them off with grinder and metal disc.
If they protrude alot you may have to use a 2x 8 or 10 to wrap it. sometimes a client will want to do a two piece wrap.
If it is exposed to weather use treated, we use nothing but treated here.
