I am planning a cabinet run that will be set between two walls. There is a door on one of the walls that will sandwich the cabinets. I want the cabinets to appear flush up against both walls that sandwich it (see attached image – not to scale).

My question is how can I hide the void on the left side of the cabinets (the black box in the attached image). Normally I would just scribe the left style of the face frame to hide the gap. However I am planning to use cabinets without face frames. How does one hide a void like this with cabinets that don’t use face frames?

How 'bout a piece of trim back there that matches the cabs?
It's called scribe molding. basically a matching strip about 1/8" thick.

You’re describing what I illustrated in A in the attached image, right (where the piece of trim is the black piece attached to a backer, the red piece)?
I thought the same thing my self. I’m just afraid that it would look shabby as it would be obvious that the flush run of the doors was disturbed. Is this what is usually done in this situation?
Another solution, it seems to me, could be to make the cabinet a bit thinner and then do as I think you are suggesting but have the trim piece sit flush with the door instead of the carcass (as I illustrated in B)?
Is this what you're saying? Which is usually done A or B?

Either works for me. It's what YOU want to see that matters.
Fillers and scribes are as common as hinges in cab installs, cuz no kitchen is perfect, nor every box made to exact size of a certain hole between walls and other boxes, I'd do whatever I had handy to use.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I drew a couple ways that I do fillers and scribes when I need something like you describe.
CAUTION, this was done with "paint" and its not scale, or good for that matter!

Depends on what look I want. Also note that if one of those doors were to be a drawer then you need to increase your distance for the fillers because when you install your knobs/pulls it needs to clear the adjacent one!
