Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

I used one for a day ripping cedar for ext. trim ran fine, fence was a piece of ship
That hp issue has been kicked around before. It just is not the same as a 3 hp cabinet saw.
3hp= 21 amps at 110 volts
ACTUALLY, IT'S QUITE GOOD ON TOAST!
I saw that bigger saw as well, I think they are making improvements. Nice components.
One thing to think about and check, is if you need universal attachment capability. On their smaller saw the rail indentions that the miter gauge, feather boards, a sled would run in are a "T" configuration. On a universal saw it is a smooth rectangle box. If this is so on that saw, you wouldnt be able to use jigs that werent made by Hitachi. Im not sure if they have any.

Just bought a 10" delta from hd. Monster of a saw. Sorry, can't remember the model #. Reg $ 529, on sale for $329. Have not put it together yet. Call HD in your area to see if they have one.
Current fine home building has article on portable table saws - check it out. Myself, got the Makita with Rousseau stand. It's a beautiful set-up; easy to transport, yet powerful/accurate enough for shop.
good luck
I went and checked. The Hitachi 3hp has the full size, box + the "T" like Jet, so you should be fine with universal fit.

I just got one a few weeks ago. I chose it because it was the sturdiest of the choices and it had the mobile base. I haven't used it a whole lot but so far it's a real good saw. And the fence isn't flimsy as someone said. I think they're confused with the smaller contractor version. They are flimsy fences.
Shout out to Andy C. Namaste my friend.
