Just finished a roof and siding job. Installed a new bay window as well. On the last day dropped a pair of hand seamers from a step ladder and they punched a nickel sized hole through the exterior vinyl on on the bottom sash of the fixed middle of the bay window. What would be the best way to repair this hole. Plug or some sort of fill????? Please your help is greatly appreciated.

What kind of window? We got an Integrity slider with a crack in the fiberglass frame. My sales guy got hold of the rep, and they sent someone out who fixed it nicely, and gave the HO 100 bucks off the price.
A fiberglass tub repair person may be able to do it, too?

this is an Anderson 6' high by 7' wide 45degree bay
I'd contact the manufacturer for a new sash and put it in.

Andsersen does hollow vinyl now?
or do you mean this is only a surface flaw in the finish? That is correctible - but again, I would contact Andersen. They can advise you best

They own Silverline!
I had to stop and think back - as much as I'm a fan of Andersen in general, I have not used them for about ten years now it has al been Marvin and Integrity. No wonder they sent me this nice baseball cap with their name on it!;)

Just fixed a Marvin fiberglass casement with hole on the bottom. (still not sure how the framers did that?????) I used Bondo, drilled a couple of 1/8" holes around it to give the feathered out edge something to hold onto and used two coats, worked like a charm. Had to paint the whole window frame to get it to match but you can't tell there was ever a problem.
thank you both for the replies, it is part of the hollow vinyl. I think I'll start with Anderson and probably end up using the bondo. Thanks again
