i am looking for a way to attach a 3″ shopvac hose to my 12″ milwaukie sliding mitersaw. the saw has a weird dustchute, any ideas ? thanks. i have to do a lot of cutting indoors and i need to contain the dust. MDF dust!

Well, not sure of the dust catching ability of that saw-does it have a bag? does some still blow around ?
If you hunt dust collection parts is pcs..............or even try looking at plastic pipes..............
There should be a stepped adaptor that'll make the transition. Our favorite duct tape final hook up works pretty well. You might have to "hang" the hose up in the air so it doesn't drag on the miter changes/push/pull.
if there's square connections at the saw, bend some flashing and tape the shit outta it.
Now, if that gets it all, good deal. If not-find a 'Y" so you can also lay a cardboard box behind with another hose stuck in there to get the airbourne dust.
