Is anyone familiar with rebuilding the exterior of an existing hot tub (materials, manufacturers, etc.).
I have a 4 year old, 96″x96″ hot tub with an exterior made from 2″x 1/4″ interlocking wood slats. The wood on the exterior is rotting and needs to be replaced. I am amenable to replacing the existing slats with a type of outside rated paneling or other material. My motivation here is inexpensive, ease of installation, and durability once installed.
If someone can steer me to a solution, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

I've worked on dozens of Sundance tubs. They used to be cedar and now are some sort of plastic or composite material in the same slotted shape. It doesn't look as good, but is easy to maintain. I think a lot of manufacturers are moving this way. Wonder if the maker of your tub sells replacement panels?
