Wife fell in love with a Grohe K4 kitchen faucet (model 32 071). When looking at the body of the faucet, silk screened below the Grohe name is a blue line on the left side of the body and a red line on the right side of the body that indicate what direction the single lever must be moved to get the desired water temperature..
Actually even the attached braided stainless steel feed lines were marked incorrectly..
I though that the North American standard was hot on left and cold on right. Needless to say I installed the faucet so hot comes out when the single lever is moved to the left and cold to the right.
Is there a different plumbing standard in Germany? Is this a standard issue with Grohe faucets, or did I get a European spec faucet?

You would love the UK, we normally have TWO taps - hot to the left, cold to the right. Mixer taps are becoming more common.
