There have often been comments about McMansions in threads. Just read a short piece that Arlington Tx is changing minimum house size from 1000 sq ft to 1500 sq ft to increase their tax base. City said the smaller house doesn’t pay their fair share of services paid by taxes.

And is their tax regime based on fair market value, occupied space, implied services, or one of those arcane formulas that pulls in a little of each ?

A little side trivia - Arlington is the Largest city in the US without a mass transit system.
Fair share of services? Hmm?
