I,ve been kicking around the Idea of riding my bike to a fest somewhere and thought about the bikers meeting somewhere. Anyone else ride? Thinking of this summer, location up for grabs ( I just love to ride!) I personally don’t care what you ride in on or in…yeah that’s right, just come on! What do y-all think? Miami

Harleyfest 100th anniversary in 2003. Milwaukee WI. I don't ride but the event is a colorful experience that is worth seeing. If you are riding a hog you should talk to your local shop and get more info. It isn't a Sturgis type of event but it is overwhelming and safe. All the highways turn into parade routes with tens of thousands of bikes rolling thunder into the summerfest grounds. Harley puts on a classy show and provides tours of plants and sponsors dozens of bands.
Booch, I've had a Harley and didn't care for it. I now have a 1500 cc Vulcan Nomad. I love this bike! I believe everyone should ride what they like. Not sure if I would be welcome or not at the Harleyfest ( though I do have an inkling...) Lots of my buddies are died in the wool Harley fans, we agree to disagree and ride togeather. If you hear of an "all welcome" rally let me know!

Rice burners are welcome as well. This isn't the 70's there is tolerance for all persuasions. At the 90th there were about 5 to 10 percent non Harleys. You just gotta be prepared to take a lot of ribbing. If you travel with your buddies they'll probably be able to get you into the grounds. I think the Summerfest grounds are run and authorized(?) by the H.O.G. chapters. You may have to pony up and become a member in order to gain admission to the main event. I don't know what the going rate is, but I don't expect it is any more than a 4" square Tattoo.
All the best."The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes--and ships-- and sealing wax--Of cabbages-- and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot-- and whether pigs have wings"
Yeah, great event, but if you want a motel room within a couple of hundred miles, you would have had to book it right after the 95th aniversary, i.e 5 years ago. That parade is an awesome sight!

Would my Raleigh C40 hybrid fit the bill? I'm not much into the Harley thing, ha, ha. Slainte.

Not familiar with that one, you'll have to educate me on it. Post a photo, maybe?

I have a 89 Yammie Virago 1100S. Totally chromed out.Two backrests and leather saddle bags so I'm ready come next summer. As far as PIGS go theyve become become a status symbol rather then a rebellious thing. You have to be lawyer or stockbroker to afford them now.....and who needs oil leaks all the time? Ride safe and free.View Image

how many CCs come with that bad boy? How far have you traveled in one day on it? Slainte? Guess I need more education again! Miami
How many CC's come with it, miami? None. You have to buy the CC's of alcohol to fuel the engine, i.e., me. Pour pints of beer into the tank, but not at breakfast time, and the engine fires up just fine. I'll make one of those go about 40+ miles on the flat in about 3 hrs. if I'm in the mood. I'm getting a bit old and slow for the 20- 25 mph stuff. I only took up cycling about three years ago when the knees finally gave out from about 30 years of rugby abuse. Cycling beats the worlds least interesting sporting activity, i.e., jogging, by about 2000%, but oddly enough, I've started playing rugby again-- a bit slowly and ineffectively, but I am playing, and I'm enjoying it.
