Visited a home depot in Calif. One of the things you could get were timbers with precut rafter tails. Whole variety of configurations from round, stepped, long tail etc. Each timber I saw was an exact copy of the others. and the length was exactly correct. Obviously they don’t have some minimum wage kid out back with a band saw. I figured it’s some kind of CNC mill process, but to handle 30 ft. timbers it must be a whale of a plant. Anyone ever see it done?
