it seems everyone i talk to has a different way of figuring out how much they charge to general a new home. lets use a standard 1800 s.f. starter home no frills. my estimate 3 months start to finish. what would you charge?

what you're asking is rather broad...what exactally are your responsibilities?? you looking to be totally involved in the job, or just looking to be a truck jockey? you doing any manual labor, or is lifting the phone to your ear determined to be your greatest workout? just because you are the "general" doesn't mean you get the biggest paycheck...unless of course you hire me!
your're getting a dozen different responsed because there are a dozen differnt ways to bill. its kinda like asking "what's the best way to fart in church?" Everyone has his special way that works best for them and grants the maxium satisfaction....
The question you need to ask yourself is..."how much is my time worth?"
Only then will you be able to answer your own question...
