How do you install an exterior sliding door kit
I just bought a replacement sliding door track which is an inverted piece of u-channel. I cleaned the existing track which is very worn and installed the track replacement piece, squeezed the ends per the instruction of the supplier and reset the door on the track (geez those things are heavy). Closed it once and the new piece of track curled up and twisted. I am about to go and get anotherr Kit. The question is, how do I secure the new track? Is there a glue that will bond he two metals together? do I try to pinch the track every 6 inchs? or what?
thanks

Plastic?
title said exterior - the tracks for those puppies is usually a 4" or mor wide extrusion and 1/8" thick, etc., never seen one of them there channels curl up.
got any pictures?
I think I saw this item at a home center -- it's a thin sheet metal overlay intended to "repair" crummy plastic bottom tracks that have gotten chewed up. I was skeptical when I saw it that it could stand up to much (though I'd expect it to at least last a few days).
Old Guy: I'm guessing that your real problem is that the rollers in the bottom of the door are broken or misadjusted. If the brand of door you have is not too rare you can probably find replacement rollers at a well-equipped hardware store or "real" lumberyard.
