Can anyone tell me how long 30 lb roofing felt paper will hold up before you have to put down shingles? The are tile shingles and it will take some time to order them. And where I live we are in our rainy season. I would like to protect mw roof sheathing. Thanks Tim

You definiutely need to protect your sheathing and everything that's under it. Don't hesitate about how long it will last. You can replace the paper cheaper than all that sheathing if it goes by.
I've seen 30# last for six months without doing more than drying out a little. Felt has a lot of variation in quality between brands tho.
Most tile is suppossed to go over two ply of 30# anyway.

Heck, my neighbor's house has had felt on it for at least 3 years. Just lay some 2 x 4's on it to keep from blowing away and go about your life, never to think of it again <G>
Can you say "tarpaper shack"? Some of those last for literally decades if in the shade.
Ive heard that all my life, but have never actually seen one. Even just a well house.
