How many before derating is required?
I’m running several circuits from the end of my house back to the main panel.
I’d prefer not having to drill holes through every single joist all the way through (especially since there are several pipes in the way.)
I planned to nail a 2×6 runner along the bottom of the joists & staple the Romex to that & run it back to the panel. I have 3 12/2 runs, 1 14/2 & 1 12/3 – can I staple them parallel to each other on the face of the 2×6 for the length of the run? Or would this fall into the same category as “bundled” cable & be subject to derating?

derating applys to situations where heat from resistasnce is contained. such as in a conduit.
I don't feel safe in this world no more
I don't want to die in a nuclear war
I want to sail away to a distant shore and make like an ape man
What MrT said.
The situation you describe is all open to the air.
Open to air = no heat build up = no derating.
