MAKE SURE YOUR DRAWINGS ARE CORRECT BEFORE MAKING SAWDUST!
Yeesh.
I’m in the middle of building an entertainment center for some nice folks consisting of three boxes — three different widths and three different heights. A corner box with two flanking boxes. Corner box houses the TV and VCR with a drawer for VHS tapes and other junk. Pocket doors and a heavy duty sliding TV swivel shelf (Accuride for those interested). Roughly four feet tall. The left box runs below a window to the exterior door and she thought it’d be a nice place to have a shoe shelf. Ok, that’s a good idea. The right box is a bookcase. Roughly three feet tall running in the middle of a cased opening separating the kitchen from the family room. There’s a square column near the end and a pilsater at the beginning.
I rough assembled the corner cab, then built the flanking units. I realized today before I glued up the corner unit that the damned TV was too wide for the opening.
“Hah?”
I measured again.
“Sure enough”.
“Well what the crap does the (MY) drawing say?”
“Hah?”
“Hmmm…”
Well, I’m glad I’m not one of those guys that throws his golf clubs. I just finished rebuilding the damn corner unit. What time is it? 12:23?
Yeesh.
I’m glad it’s a paint grade unit!
Thirstily,
Dan
