Looking for some help on window placement in a 10 X 16 room. Have french doors to patio on shorter wall – looking for how many windows would work on longer wall without changing from family room/ den into a sunroom – any ideas?

This is completely subjective, but I would throw out that once a wall exceeds 50% glass it starts to feel like a sunroom. That is, if it's the long wall in the room. The short wall could be all glass and the room could still feel cozy. It really depends on the room though. Orientation (north, south, etc.) matters too.

Depends on height of cieling and whether it is a north, south, east or west room too.
