How to Attach Redwood Fascia to Deck Rim Joist

I’m trying to complete an IPE deck project and I’ve decided to wrap the rim and band joists with redwood boards. I was simply going to screw the redwood boards to the fascia, but I’d like to conceal the deck screws. I could countersink the screws and plug them, but I was wondering if there were other ways to conceal the screws.
Thanks in advance.

My first thought when reading your title...
was SS trim head screws. You could minimize the # of screws needed by putting construction adhesive behind the fascia. OTOH, you may want to leave a drainage gap allowing the redwood to dry, in which case you could use PT lattice strip spacers with construction adhesive on either side of the strips and a few screws holding the 'sandwich' together

Can you screw in from the inside side of the deck, although I am not sure if 1/2" or so of screw is good enough to hold the redwood. Or taking the idea of putting dryout cleats on the back of the redwood would give you more wood for the screws to hold. This would mean more overhang for the deck. Hope it helps.
