How to build this balcony parapet?
Greetings
This ia my first post as I’m getting into a DYI house construction project with ICF blocks.
I’m looking to build something similar to this: http://www.archinow.com/anw/index.php/projects/rgr/
The actual house seems to be pretty simple as it’s a rectangular shape.
The part that I haven’t figured out how to create is the continuous parapet around the balconies.
The cantilevered balconies will be made out of poured concrete however I would like to avoid to have the parapet made out of concrete due to the extra load that will incur at the edge of the slab.
How would you build this structure if you would be presented with this project?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steven

Remember the movie the Graduate? The advice that was given in one word, whispered in fact, ..... Plastics.
LOL.
Have a great day.
They sell kits for those at any big box store. Now, pose a complicated question.
A properly sized and anchored wood wall willl work fine.
