Why would you not contact the HVAC contractor your are confident in..............
Ask them to work up the complete design................
included of course, your desire to do just the ductwork.........................
and pay them for the above..............
because it's not unusual for someone building their own place to ask for complete details and then go on their own and think they can do the install as good or better.
