I am trying to refinish a epay deck that has a almost cherry stain that has been applied and has faded. Not sure what they used but I am thinking about using cabbot australian timber oil in a mahogany flame. Also plan to pressure wash, should I know about any special techniques for cleaning epay(or special cleaning solutions.) Also parts of the deck are in great condition any way to get an even uniform look between the good and bad ciondition epay? Please give me any and all info as it would be very helpful do not have much experience with epay. Thanks

Honestly, I wouldn't finish it. The wood is so dense that the stain just sits on the surface. Having built our deck 5 years prior, we now wanted to put our house on the market. To spruce up the deck, I hired a guy to pressure wash it and he insisted on using his product to finish the deck. Our house didn't sell right away and by spring the finish looked like crap because it was already fading. Sorry, can't recall the brand name of what he used. I do know that Penofin is supposed to be the best product to use on Ipe.
