In 2000 I paid 6¢ per square foot. That included power raking.
Open question, need a little more info.
1) how large an area?
2) what type of seed?
3) any slopes?
Could be anywhere from .04 to $1.95 per sq.ft.
Perennial rye, fescue, bluegrass mix. Nothing fancy. Just some cover.
Maybe 6000 sf, and a truck can access just about everywhere. Very slight grade, almost flat.
Here that would cost .10 to.12 per sq. ft.
Three years ago I had my front lawn done after some septic work, paid about 8 cents a square foot. That included a bit of grading and a york raking, and a standard contractor mix with fertilizer. I think it's up around 10-12 cents a square foot now.
Best looking lawn on the block.
