In older homes like these, the main remodeling goal is often a more welcoming, more social, and more functional kitchen.

Are you talking about the sniper programs that jump in at the last minute? Ebay has the bidding assistant where you can list or choose several auctions and it will manage them.
I find that if I just decide what the max I am willing to pay is and bid that and not get caught up in it.
I googled ebay sniper and got this:
http://www.google.com/search?q=ebay+sniper&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGLR
The one at the top of the list gives some good points though.

Thanks! I just signed up and put in a bid for tomorrow. We'll see if i get it. The way i look at it is if I'm going to bid to win i need this.
and put in a bid for tomorrow
How much does Tomorrow cost? Can I put in a bid for yesterday?"Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

I'll get that item God willing and the creeks don't rise.
How much does Tomorrow cost? A day of your life you can never get back
Can I put in a bid for yesterday? They're going cheap, because a lot of people don't know that if you use 'em right, they can increase the value of the tomorrows you get.View Image “Good work costs much more than poor imitation or factory product†– Charles GreeneCaliforniaRemodelingContractor.com
Yesterday isn't available till tomorrow.
MikeInsert initially amusing but ultimately annoying catch phrase here.
I program all my bids for 6 seconds before closing.View Image “Good work costs much more than poor imitation or factory product†– Charles GreeneCaliforniaRemodelingContractor.com
So you're the sumbitch that steals my stuff at the last second?
Nah - more like I'm the guy that tried, before the other sunny beach got it from me!View Image “Good work costs much more than poor imitation or factory product†– Charles GreeneCaliforniaRemodelingContractor.com
Seems to take the excitement out of the process, knowing you are probably the last bidder on an item.
I get tired of being outbid with like a second left before the end though.
sign up for auction sniper, the you can be a sombitch like the rest of us. larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?
"I get tired of being outbid with like a second left before the end though."Confessions of a sniper. It very well may have been me. When I want something bad enough, I have it down to 2-3 seconds and I seldom have lost a bid. There have been a few that have gotten away and sometimes I was relieved they did. Haven't done E-bay in a while. It's the devil's playground.
auction sniper is great, but not a miricale worker, you need to know what its worth and what your willing to spend. it just takes all the back and forth out of it.
i've never had it miss bidding for me yet.good luck, hope you didn't bid more for it than i did.lol larry
