I recently got a Duluth Trading Co. Vest tool carrier. Both for myself and my buddy.
He is 2xl, I am Ltall. These rock.
Well, we got hit by every sub onsite, asking WTF? Where?…uh huh..I mean I hadda take mine off, and let a guy size it.
Depends what ya do, I riveted a hammer loop around the one heavy seam on the vented side, that fit the bill.
We roof, we gutter, we carpenter…for less than 100.00$ a vest..you might be suprised, I coulda sold 20 today!

Duluth stuff is all good. I like 'em so much, I even bought a briefcase from them when my old one wore out.

Mike, I was wearing the LJ's under the Fire Hose pants, with the woolie top, under a tee. Covered that with a Firehose Fleece lined shirt jacket, and then the vest.
I am a walking bill board for Duluth. LOLParolee # 40835
Yeah -- I've been thinking about some of those firehose togs. Maybe some shorts for the warm weather that's BOUND to come. Maybe. Someday. (Groan. Snow tonight. Again.)

Ditto on Duluth's stuff. I've switched to wearing their utility jeans pretty much exclusively. They actually fit right and I can actually use the utility pockets... love 'em. I tried a longtail with my last order, but their 2XL fit me like a tent so I'll be trying out an XL this time around. That fleece-lined firehouse shirt-jac is awesome too, nice and warm.
Nick
Did you wash/dry the longtail a couple of times? My 2XL's were big at first, now they are a about right, so they do shrink some. You gotta live Duluth stuff, and the ad copy is a hoot too.
The only Duluth anything I have is their Presentation Jacket (since I gotta look pretty once in a while for a planning board meeting). I like it. It's sometimes hard to justify the co$t of some of their stuff though.
I agree the $ is about my upper threshold, but I have realized the Firehose out wears Carhartts by at 2x. And C'hartts, are not cheap anymore either.Parolee # 40835
her's yer sign...I don't Know what I am doing
But
I am VERY good at it!!
I got one of their kick-azz briefcases for Christmas this year. That thing is awesome. Couldn't have designed it better myself. Takes a beating too.View Image
Other than the pants all being a 34 inseam, ( I like 36) their stuff is killer. The Dickie's Tshirts are now rags, The Duluth T's are the best I have ever worn. As you know, I am a freaky size, with really wide shoulders and no chest. Somehow, thier stuff fits me.Parolee # 40835
Yep. Their briefcases are cool. A pocket for everything and a few to spare! And compared to other similar nylon cases, they're downright cheap.

All of my company logo'd hats, shirts, polos, are Duluth stuff. They are the only things that seem to hold up over time.
i went on the duluth site and couldn't find it.
got a link or the model # ?
Right Chere. it is Item # 85388 DT Pro Vest a Large Tall is 99.00$....sweet.Parolee # 40835
They also have a line of women's stuff, that isnt pink & frilly - same tough stuff in scaled down sizes. Good outfit!
Thats a sore subject here. My wife is a dedicated "MOO-MOO" wearer. She is rather large, and good clothes like that, would be, well...wasted. Or Waisted.Parolee # 40835
I was thinking specifically about gloves...the mental image of muu-muu & work gloves resonates for me! 8>)
Add some work boots, & it rocks!
LOL. Yeah, my old lady is a rocker, it's the rollin that scares me.Parolee # 40835
Duane-Duane -Duane tsk.tsk.--------deedubya shaking his head. I.m a mutant too, they have the only tee shirts that fit my tremendously long butt crack-no naveled body,
LOL..I love ya. Man, I just got 3 of the colors I didn't want, cus I wanted a light( as in not black) color..so, dey sent me PINK! or Orange..I can't tell the difference.
But dey shure make my wife looke better in the dark. I used ta have to roll her in flour and aim at the wet spots, but with this new neon stuff , I just aim for the dark places.Parolee # 40835
I have a bad habit of always wiping sweat from my face and forehead onto my upper arms, thus staining the tops of any lite colored tee a faded tan color- so I switched to wearing tan tee shirts, that way I don't have to get all dressed up to go to the wall mart or the dollar tree store, I usually just tell my wife to put a fresh piggly wiggly bag on her curlers" to keep up appearances ya know" and to be sure to wear her best pair of house slippers and to put on my "Duluth hoody" over her moomoo to hide the gravy stains -shoot man - she be ready to go.
LMAO...yer as sick as I am, if you find that funny, or worse, close to home...OLLlll
" hey ma, that shid stinks..put cha a bag on that permanant goo...and if its a permanmnt, why ya gotta do it aginn?"
I almost lost my eyes helping a neighbor get blonde and curly, all I know is I woke up with her wearing my pants and a hangover from hell.Parolee # 40835
sphere, ditto on the duluth long tail tshirts-- they are the muthr effen BEST
I have some that 3 years of roofing hasn't worn out----and i am a little lighter now----wish they WOULD wear out so i could justify buying some in a smaller size.
the long tail sweat shirts are fantastic also----even better than the t shirts.

Agree. Duluth is the best. Have some I've worn on the assembly line day after day after.... I just gave up and bought some to say I had something new and different. They never seem to wear out.
Their sizes seem to run full and true, no skimping. And comfy in all the stretchy places. Their customer service is tops, too. I've messed up on a couple things and NO hassles, they just made good even though I was the culprit.

Be kind to your children....they will choose your nursing home.
...aim low boys, they're ridin' shetland ponies !!
Send their customer service an email with a glowing report of how much you love their gear. Maybe they'll send you a 10% off coupon.

Well,as we speak, Dale and I are getting my wife to make some special alterations to our vests, being as she is a sewing fanatic and I think making "tucks" here and there look tacky with poprivets..LOL
My "tall " size ok, but for me 'Tall' usually means longer sleeves and such, and the vest is a little too long...I am tall, but not in the upper body as much as my legs..so she will gather up some slack at the top of the shoulders, and hitch it up about two inches.
I got Dale the xxl regular, but he is losing weight, and it is just wee bit too loose on him, so she will pucker in the sides a bit and do the same shoulder pinch, to customize it for his build.
I gave her a hard time when she wanted this new fancy 4oo.oo sewing machine last yr. But now I am glad she has a commercial type, HD stitcher-upper..(G).
I don't online order from them, I call. They are really nice folks to chat with while they take your money..I love them.Parolee # 40835
