I’m building a kitchen with paint-grade birch cabinets and I want to spray the parts in my shop using compressed air and an inexpensive gun. I have no experience spraying. I’m a renovation carpenter. People here tell me I need an airless pump and why would I be finishing cabinets with latex anyway? Well I like using materials that are less harmfull to me and the environment, and the house in question is a nice old farm house that wants a low tech painted look. So I’m dreaming I can get away with latex and I really want to learn to spray with my own equipment. Can anyone with experience tell me to stop before I overspend my non-existent R and D budget on this hopeless venture?
