If Azek’s so good, why aren’t we sold on PVC siding?

Is it like bad cholesterol versus good cholesterol? If “vinyl siding” ain’t actually “Fine Homebuilding,” then how is Azek justified? PVC is PVC, right? If the vinyl is so final, and Azek so wonderful, why do we hold PVC siding in low regard?
