I always read the yearly magazine toold review. I am interested in an impact drill. I already own Dewalt 18v. nine piece set. My question is, do they make electrict impact drills and if they do. What are the brands available. I am considering purchasing the Dewalt DW056, since I already own a set.
I have discover that battery operated tools are not as strong as the electrical tools.
Any imput will be appreciated. Handy@home

I'm not quite sure what you mean: impact wrench or hammer drill? If the latter, I wouldn't bother. For the sort of stuff it could handle, one might as well stick with a regular drill. I have a corded Milwaukee hammer drill with the standard three-jaw chuck, and it's just a PITA for anything other than soft mortar. I bought a small Hitachi rotary hammer with an SDS chuck for drilling in rock and seasoned concrete, and it works a lot better.
Is called impact drill, they also have impact tool (wrench) there was a review that gives high marks and can screw lag and others screws faster and easier than hammer drills. All the reviews were done with 14V. cordless.
For what and where do you expect to use the impact tool? Lug nuts, deck screws, lag screws? Home or someplace within reach of an extension cord or in the boonies?
deck and lag screws. I will have ascess to electricity.
